I love cinematographers. They have saved my life on many occasions by making a bad shot decision look great. A good one is hard to find. If you find that magic one, keep him or her by your side forever. Back in the ?olden times if you wanted to become a Director of Photography you had to work your way up the ranks. You needed to find someone who would take you on as a loader and work hard to move up the chain of command. It took years.
In the digital age, one could grab a camera and shoot an amazing short or movie and become a hot property as a cinematographer. Aaron Platt has a great story. Let's listen and get inspired.
